Chain. all you have to do is send a message to the admin and ask them to turn off the e-mail notifications for you. You only get them when someone replies to a question you start.

I don't know why it's doing it now. It should have been alerting you every time someone answered your question.
Maybe you can. Go to your profile page and make sure both of these are unchecked.
