it means the son of Richard. Many old names , stemming back to biblical times refer to whose son a man is. Ben or Bin means son of . So, Bin Laden originally meant the son of Laden.  Ben Hur meant son of Hur.

I used to wear my gold link Seiko author's note We couldn't settle on a reference all the time in the cockpit of the T-38 it had a little stopwatch on it and I link could time each flight. And the problem is that the link watch would get greasy and dirty and banged-up flying jets. I wrecked a lot of watches over the years.
