I know most of you liked the rhyming names or the triplet style names or the characters names but I really wanted them to have individual names, unique names, not common names. I hope you all agree the names are good choices for them. Thank you all for being part of this adventure. We will probably do it again so in time, more names will get used from all the suggestions that were given.
They are all good babies and as you can see, they are already learning tricks (sort of) I was able to get 2 of them to lay on their back so I could get underside shots. Pez is all white underneath so I didn't think I needed a shot of his underside.
Why I chose the names that I did...
Pez, because as suggested, Pez is sweet, like the pez candy. Pez really is a gentle bird. He/she is shy which makes him/her a sweet bird.
Dazzle because he/she dazzles with the splash of turquoise color. In the sunlight it really shines and stands out.
Cosmo is actually cosmos without the s. I just thought Cosmo looked better as a name. I chose this because I think he/she has the colors of the cosmos. Cosmo also has a pretty unique feature and that is the black beak. I've not seen many parakeets with a black beak.

The young Budgies look healthy and brilliant, well done, the names well, thats another matter, but they are yours birds , that all that counts. --- beautifil coloured birds much better than the all green wild cousins.

When I went in to uncover the birds this morning, the babies were no longer in the box. They had all climbed up to the perch to be with their momma and daddy. They're big kids now : )

Pythonlover has told me that I need to change Cosmo's name to Cozmo so there is a Z in his name too. What do you think? Agree or disagree?

WOW WOW WOW they are adorable I love the names and spent about 15mins looking at them your camera is brilliant but then those birds are brilliant and very photogenic love them already you must be sooooo proud and I know I would!!! Colleen I must say you keep your birds spotless well done ( trust me to point that out) sorry just cant stop working I would like to have seen a pictures and cushoins ect Ha ha well done xxxx

I know some kids write and use such good vocabulary and some just dont know how to write inside when they are 18 sorry if it hurt youre feelings or anything and nice name for them actually.

Colleen: No problem. It wasn't a big thing anyway ;) Your kid has a good vocabulary to be able to use words like "theory" in place of a more simplistic word such as idea. He/she must do well in school. You should see how some of the kids type here. Makes your brain hurt trying to decipher what they say. Edit this comment Delete comment
