    3. What do you use to coat the under side of a mower deck? I have a 1995 LX 178 JD and the deck is getting pretty rusty underneath, I was going to paint it but I hope there is something more durable out there.

      You can buy that rubberized paint from the auto parts store, it's meant for truck bed lining, but make sure to clean the rust off first. They also make a spray that will neutralize rust, then you can sand it off easily and prime the bottom of the mower before painting it. Hope this helps.
