Just the opposite i've had people call me then wished  i never answered the phone..

Sometimes! Usually they are the chatty ones!  Some folks can talk forever about nothing!

If I don't want to talk..but I feel obliged to return a call..I try to call when the person isn't home.  Or I text them.  However, there are some people I need to talk with even though they are unpleasant- C'est La Vie.

Would you believe me if I said I ALWAYS wanted the party I'm calling to answer because I am so anxious to talk to that person?  
I didn't think so.  It is getting so, I almost PREFER to be sent to voicemail. 

Yes! I become overwhelmed by the feeling of being forced to do the unpleasant and I dislike it very much...I don't care for anything that harshes my mellow!!   My feeling is that I pay for the service of a telephone...for my use when I want...so in the converse...if an unwanted caller is displayed...I don't bother! The service is for my use as I see fit!What I hate is the caller who calls...gets no answer...then shows up half an hour later uninvited!!! Arrrrrrr!  (grimace!)

I think that would apply to a very shy person.
