When i was a kid, I worked in a tire recap shop, one of my jobs was 'buffing' tires, means 'roughing them up to accept the new rubber and glue before vulcanizing. It was amazing the rubber powder that came off when brushing them with a powered wire brush.. So, i don't know the exact or accurate number of tires but my guess is, probably one or two. Rubber doesn't pack well when shredded or powdered-- Kinda springy.
