    I want to revert back to the old look of gmail permantly. How do I do that?

    My mail is so slow to use now...pages take forever to open and for me to scroll...

      There are two cog wheels up near the top right hand corner. Click on the lower one.

        I have no trouble with speed but I hate the new look but they seem to like it at Google and I have found no way of going back to old look. They will tell you if it is slow to use or load the basic HTML for slower connections at the bottom of the page.
