1Unplug the sander from the wall outlet.
2Hold the sander by the handle, then rotate it up 90 degrees and press the front belt pulley squarely down on a hard surface, such as a workbench or concrete floor. When you press the pulley, it will move backwards toward the rear pulley, relieving the tension on the belt.

3Slide the old belt off of the sander and then slide the new belt on. Ensure that the arrows on the inside of the belt are pointing to the rear of the sander.
4Restore tension to the belt by inserting a screwdriver between the pulley support bracket and the pulley support. Pry the pulley back into place, restoring tension to the belt.
