The climate in York is typical of English weather and is often unpredictable. During the summer months of May, June, July, August and September, Yorkshire has many fine and often extremely sunny days and the climate tends to be quite mild. However, York weather can be fairly changeable and the morning may start off rather gloomy and damp, and by the afternoon the sun can be shining, resulting in high temperatures.
Spring is a particularly popular time to visit York and the weather is fairly mild during March, April and May, although some days may be rainy and windy. Many of the trees begin to flower at this time of the year and local gardens are filled with spring daffodils and tulips.
