    3. my van was hit by another car but insurance people are saying my sister is the major one that caused the accident buy no body is questioning how fast the other driver was going and she said she was tring to beat the yellow light and they say if she had a yellow light then my sister shouldve too but the light was a stale light i think when she turned the light was green but it suddenly turned yellow. and if this girl had the right of way why didn't she stop when she saw my van i mean come on can

      If the other person had the right of way as you claim, then it is your sisters fault for turning in front of the other person no matter what color the light was at the time. No it was not a stale  light. You need to accept responsibility for allowing your sister to drive your automobile while knowing she may not be a safe driver. Your sister needs to accept the responsibility for making a bad decision by turning in front of someone who had the right-a-way.  Pay up!

        There was nobody there when she looked and looked left to turn this woman came quick from a side street because when she called her parents her dad was there in 5 minutes. She was speeding she tried to stop but she couldn't this 18 yr old girl kept apologizing over and over again. I asked her was she responsible and she said yes wherever she came from she was speeding like a bat out of hell for her little sports car to total my van spun it around in the streets my sister was heading west when i got there my van was pointing east that's how hard she hit my van like i said this girl was speeding and why was she that close anyway she hit my van it was almost straight into the left turn she is at fault here.

        If the girl had the yellow light she had the right of way.. weather she was doing 5 MPH or 80 MPH. Your sister wasn't paying attention or just didn't look.

        Yellow doesn't mean stop or slow down. The legal terminology of a light turned yellow by law means "Proceed with caution".

          Then as she was trying to beat the light that said proceed with caution she slams into my van...NICE!

          Michigan has no-fault insurance. Everyone fixes their own car. Period!

            So, your insurance co. believes your sister was at fault.  Have her pay the deductable and fix the cars.  There's no way around it- unless you can afford to fix the cars on your own.

              So, then doesn't your insurance help you fight it- won't your insurance co. pay for your car if necessary??? Were the cops ever called??? Sorry I'm abit confused.
