Yes, the cops COULD do something.  They tell him to get on the ground (or whatever submissive pose they prefer) and cuff him from behind.  If he doesn't cooperate, they tazer him.  
What would I do?  I think I would take a few quick steps backwards, turn and run.  Depends on where you are when this happens.  Did this actually happen???? 

A good kick in the groin should do the trick, That would pull him up, real quick.

Make him regret he ever conceived the idea, let alone tried to follow through with it on me...because just about all he'd end up doing is pissing me off, and I don't play nice when I'm pissed off.

PS. I actually had something like that occur some years back...I enjoyed teaching him a lesson.

It depends.  If he's 6' 6" 500 lbs. and you're 4' 4" and 80 lbs., I'd kick the living crap out of his knee cap and run like hell.  Don't call for help for him.  Leave him in the back of the Seven-Eleven and let him suffer.

P.S.  If you could, punch his family jewels too.  He's too fat to out run you.

Usually people that large are very slow if able to walk at all! Say BOO! Let him have a heart attack! shouldn't take much at that size!

My Brother taught me that if someone is too big to hit, hit him with something. So providing there was something to hand , I'd hit him with it. Otherwise kick him in the nuts.
