What does the bible say about eating swine flesh?

The Old Testament, which Christians do not follow, said you should not touch it or eat it. The Old Testament is cherry picked frequently by those who have agendas against others. I'm pretty sure that's about all it's good for now, cherry picking.

    There goes my bacon.

I think god meant to say it was unclean to eat like a pig. Kidding.

    Leviticus 11:7
And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

However in the New Testament all was made clean.

    Romans 14:20
Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.

Very convenient. Which dipstick decided to go against God's decree?

Reading the bible is like having to read the first grade primer again. Boring. Just answer her....Which dipstick decided to go against your God and say pork was OK to eat?
    Headless Man

If I did you would say I was preaching, she can read.....

No, I would say you were answering a question. Apparently you do not want to read your own bible to find the answer.

    Jesus did:
Mark 17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

So in your belief, Jesus is God and was God before he became Jesus. Given that, this means he contradicted himself. He made an oopsy the first time around?
    Headless Man

No not an oopsy, Jesus came to change all the rules that man had to follow and just accept Him.

Many of the animals labeled as "unclean" are primarily scavengers. They do not have the kind of multiple digestive system that the cud-chewers do, so the poisons that they consume go directly into their flesh. Only the unclean animals are regular hosts to such parasites as the trichina worm. Isn't it amazing that almost every cookbook notes that you should always be extra careful to fully cook pork to a well-done state, but they never mention that their unspoken reason is so that you will be sure to kill the trichina worms in their little cysts! It is an accepted fact that much of the pork in America, even with all our "modern" health precautions, probably contains trichina. Health authorities also warn against eating shell fish at certain times of year because they are poisonous then. They don't bother to mention that the shellfish have the same scavenging habits all year long that causes this problem. Trichinosis and possible poisoning is bad enough, but the unclean animals are host also to much more serious problems for humans.

Truth is always truth, why would a Christian poison his Holy temple which he is commanded to keep clean?

hey JoshuaJ, if cooking the pork to its proper temperature (160 degrees F) kills the bad bacteria why is it still considered harmful? Tapioca pearls are poisonous until they are boiled. Yet, Tapioca pudding is a favorite of many 'round the globe.

Your truth. I have no problems eating pork. Maybe the worm only invades Christians. I'd wonder about that if I were you. Did you know the human body has hundreds of varieties of worms living in it? You should de-worm yourself at least once a year. Take care of your temple.

Don't talk so much crap, dude. See ya in hell, I'll be waitin' for ya!
    FISH-O

Do you understand filter feeders and red tide? Shellfish such as clams, oysters and scallops are filter feeders. Red Tide is a reference to algae at certain times of the year in certain areas of the planet. Shellfish filter the algae and so the poison that this red algae contains that is dangerous to humans is in the system of the shellfish.
Bottom feeding fish, and filter feeders do not consume the waste of other creatures of the ocean. They are the vacuum cleaners by ridding the ocean floor of debris, dead fish, plancton, algae and smaller creatures than themselves.

also in 1Timothy Chapter 4 Paul warns of false teachers Verses 1-5 (KJV) "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know the truth for every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving :For it is sanctified by the word of God and Prayer."

Hey, put that in English and people might take notice. Most members here ignore copy/paste bible scripture as the non Christians outnumber the Christians on this forum.

So you speak like this regularly? " which God hath created". You know we do not speak like this, right? This is not English as English is spoken in this century.

Seeing as how the KJV is the most accurate version of God's word then why would he use anything else? Also, many people think it is still a beautiful translation, the KJV is far and away the most popular Bible translation, so there must be some out there that can still appreciate it. It's hard to get into at first, but the verses seem to resonate in your ear once you get past the learning curb, it's truly a God inspired masterpiece. Okay, go ahead and tell me that I follow men and serve a lower God, I'm used to it.

As for copying and pasting... I do recall you, Collen, doing a two minute search on the Jesuits and copying and pasting what looked to be a wikipedia type text. I would much rather hear word's from the Bible, if wikipedia were the innerant word of God I wouldn't have had a problem with it. By the way Colleen, did you ever do any actual research on the Jesuits? Did you ever hear Abe Lincoln say that the Civil war was started by Jesuit infiltration? Or do you still believe the primary issue was slavery?

Are you a follower/believer of the NWO? If you are, you are more lost than I originally thought you to be.
I copied and pasted because I really have no need to know about them. It does not further my spiritual growth to read about lower beliefs and religions. I never heard Abe say anything. He died long before I was born.
Stick around and watch all the bible copy and pasting that goes on. We're all pretty sick of the bible verses and declarations that only they are the truth. They are the truth for Christians, not the rest of us.

Really, you can relax on that. If you don't copy/paste, then you don't copy paste. I guess you just like to talk in thee's and thy's and hath's and such. Another wanna be. Yawn. We get so many of you.

Pork is unhealthy, prove me wrong.

I have no need to prove you wrong. If you believe it is unhealthy, don't eat it. I'll keep my bacon thanks. I like it. :)
