    I have an interllectual disability do I need to vote I have no understanding

    I have recently moved to live my sister ( who is writing) My previously lived at Mahogany Cr Gateshead West

    I'm not entirely sure, I have worked with people that have been required to vote even though they had severe disability, they chose to vote only because there was a free sausage sizzle provided, (not a good reason to vote I know) but I'm sure if the law requires you to, a letter from your practitioner would negate the necessity if you find you are unable

    You are apparently in the UK, so I suggest you contact your local town council. If you have recently moved to your present address it is unlikely you will be on the voters register.

    You could google Laws Disqualifying People with Intellectual or Psychiatric Disabilities From Voting in your area.
