Down here, they shave it all off. It's a shame because one day they'll wish they had something to shave off.

First, many thanks to Ducky for the smorgasbord.  :D
Here, there is a propensity to shave it very close, trimmed sideburns, just enough on the crown for a bit 'o gel to get those quarter inch long hairs sticking up.  I am acquainted with a couple of musicians whose hair is longer, one halfway down his back, the other's not far behind.
