Try going to CONTROL PANEL and clicking on PRINTERS, click on the icon with the name of the printer you are using right next to it probably also noted as the DEFAULT printer, and it should pull down a list of actions you can take. Uncheck from the list, the printer you are using (probably also called the DEFAULT printer. This will cause your computer to "see" no printer on your system, thus no place to send it because there would be no que. I have done this as a temporary measure while installing different printers and so long as I remembered to go back and put a "DEFAULT" check mark on the printer that was to perform as the primary default, it worked fine. Just an idea and won't cause any harm.

Another thing, you did not say if you wanted the documents to print or not. If documents/graphics etc. are stacked up waiting to be printed, but the printer is not actually printing them, one thing you can try that has worked for me is: Go to CONTROL PANEL, click on PRINTERS, when you see an Icon of your printer with its name beside it check marked as the DEFAULT printer, click on the icon and read the drop-down list. There should be a PAUSE PRINTING along with other commands. Put a check mark next to pause printing then put your pointer over each document in the que and click. Then on the same drop down list should be a DELETE DOCUMENT. Click on the document, then on DELETE DOCUMENT until they are all gone.

Next, unplug your printer, power down your system and wait about a minute for the static to dissipate. Then plug in the printer, power your system back up making sure your printer is "ON" during the power up.

This should cause the computer to reload the printer program and drivers necessary for it to print. Then send just one document to the printer after everything has been reloaded and powered up.

If the document does not print, go to the homepage of the printer manufacturer. At the top of the page will be a search box. Type in the name of your printer and model number followed by "Program Drivers Updates". When your printer and its name/specifications appears, check to see if there are new drivers for it that were released that you didn't know about. If so, click the new drivers or program versions or both to update your printer to the current version software needed to print.

Printers in general, get little attention on the Internet. As a result, people don't work with them enough to get to know much about them (aside learning the best way to swear and kick them when they inevitably jam, seem to switch themselves to a different size print document and other bizarre and very irritating things. Anyway, if you are a true printer hater, you are not alone.
