    I have a lot of small mega byte units that I need to add up to get total gig

      a mega-byte is 1 million byte`s or 10 to the power 6,


      a giga -byte is 1 billion byte`s or 10 to the power 9,so add up all your "spare"mega-bytes untill you get a billion this then is a giga-byte.good luck
