If it's the base Sedan Deville with the 4.9 liter engine, not the Northstar, it is located on top of the driver side of the intake manifold. There are two small bolts that hold it in. Remove those, pull the housing off. The thermostat is directly underneath. You can then pull it up and off, you might need to use some force to pop it loose. After that, it's just reverse of the above to install the new one. Just make sure to use a new gasket and make sure that all of the old gasket is off of the thermostat housing and the intake manifold.
