    what if we run out of invitations and find that there are more people we had intende to invite or if they are on our B list?

    You can order more invitations.  If the 1st invitations were expensive you can order less expensive ones.  Or, make some on the computer.  Times have changed.  People who realize there were two different invitations might ask- just tell them you planned it that way.  I have sent out different invitations- formal ones and informal ones.  No one cared as far as I know.  In the end, people who attend your event will be grateful to be included.  Don't sweat the ones who don't attend- about 30% of invites decline..sometimes less, sometimes more- It's not about you or the event it's about them.

    P.S. A good card store should have prepared invitation packets for most events...you just fill in the details!
