I have a woods chest freezer - model C15REC, serial #40185451EQ. I keep daily temperatures and it is usually between 0 and -10 degrees F. The freezer was full of meat. About 7 days ago, I got a reading of 30 degrees. I tapped on the temperature control area, and defrosted the freezer. I have moved the meat to other freezers. Since this incident, it has been -10 degrees as before. Do I need to change a part? If so which part?

Seems to me you need to contact the Maytag Man and have it serviced.
