    See if you can get a copy of the book 'The Old Straight Track' by Alfred Watkins. It is probably out of print but try Amazon for a used copy. If you are in the UK with a 1:50,000 scale map you will be able to plot alignments of ancient sites which are said to be lines of force used by ancient man to navigate.
