That's because your body thinks it is starving. Whatever you do you will not lose weight while your body is protecting you. Eat properly, eat fish and lots of brightly coloured fruit and vegetables. The Mediterranean diet is a good one. You eat healthy food. Dieting will get you nowhere, you will only gain more than you lose.
Give up all junk food, hamburgers, chips, pizza etc. Give up all soft drinks whether diet or not. Diet drinks will also add weight, they make you eat more.

Just going to echo what you've been told. Your body has certain requirements for daily nourishment. If you starve your body, it will hoard its resources and not let go of that extra weight. Why don't you try eating 1200 HEALTHY calories and doing 10-20 minutes of moderate exercise 3x daily. I'll bet you see some results
