i think you mean mass air flow sensor which has 3 wires going to it. if your car's engine is stalling,it could be one of the easons it is doooing so due to one or more of the 3 wires breaking inside the connector but you will not know it unless you tug or pull on them one at a time. it should snap off. if it does ,then you can get the special terminals from GM and secure them properly. if you need to test the mass air flow sensor without any scan tool then disconnect it before you start the engine and if it stays ideling it would indicate that the maf if probably bad.good luck
