Resurrection is the correct spelling for the deed. It means rising again from the dead. Two people fit the bill, the mother of God (mary) and Jesus.

    Taken from the web..

1)I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
    6 “You shall not murder.
7 “You shall not commit adultery.
    8 “You shall not steal.
9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”

    And explained in plain English.

The ten holy commandments are, and not in chronological order, because I feel these are more important in this order. But you are advised to go by the holy rule!.

    1) Thou shalt not kill (easily understood)

    2) thous shalt not steal (easily understood)

    3) Thou shalt not covet thy neigbours wife nor goods(no lecherous thoughts if some one has a better looking wife than you have and no do you try to keep up with the Jonses because his pool is better than yours.

    4) Thou shalt not commit adultery (not sleep around when you are committed in a relationship with someone; not necessarily marriage)

    5) Thou shalt not have false Gods before me (and that is God who says that).  (no idols, statues or other gods of any variety.)

    6) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as they self (and this is the most difficult because neighbours and people can be downright irritating and obnoxious and full of themselves and you still have to love them because they are human after all) but in another context, self-love is a sin, so catch 22.

    7) Thou shalt  honour they father and they mother  ie respect, and listen to them and tolerate them when they carry on in their old age and can hardly be understood but you have heard it all repeatedly "udinfinitum" and "adnauseum" (incessantly, and enough to make you puke!).

    8) Thous shalt not take the name of thy Lord thy God in vain. Meanings no abusive language such as "oh God!" How could I have said that. Change that to "Oh Gosh" or "Oh Golly!" A nice one is "Jeepers Creepers!"

    9) Thou shalt keep holy the Sabbath day (i.e. the day of Rest, said to be Sunday, so that you do good by going to church and not use the Sunday for giving English tuition which brings you money. Therefore you get onto web sites like this on Sunday and do good by answering all the unanswerable questions.

    10) You shall not bear false witness against thy neighbour (i.e. never tell lies to anyone just to make yourself feel great, and to make your neighbour feel small and the neighbour is not the person who lives next door, it is everyone who is not you!).

Both Jesus and His mother Mary were taken up into heaven, he in the Ascension, she in the Assumption, but AFAIK only Jesus resurrected, in the sense that after His death He came back to life.

Perhaps one of the resident thologians can clarify.
