      A gong is an East and South East Asian musical percussion instrument that takes the form of a flat metal disc which is hit with a mallet.

              Similar to a frying pan the wife will wake you up in the morning over your head if you don;t get up and make her breakfast, you will hear a Gong till, dear is it ready yet?.
