....and the way to get this answer is to multiply 17 ft x 15 ft.
Take a piece of grid paper and darken 17 squares across and 15 squares down. Color in all of those, so there are 17 squares colored in for 15 rows.
Now, count the number of colored in squares. Pretend each square is one foot in both height and width. That is one square foot. You have 17 x 15 colored "square feet".... 255 square feet.
