To touch your enemy on the field of battle with out killing him is called counting coup by native American tradition .The feathers are a way of keeping track of these adventures and the bravery . Coup Feathers are a sign of a warriors courage in battle . Held in high regard ,much respect ,badge of honour . Those with coup feathers are men of respect !
