    if you are talking about rebuilding the engine block then the best way since that engine is so old is to bore the block according to what after market pistons are available for your caddy.it is not a cvevy or ford and parts such as pistons may not come in many sizes. i would have the block bored the least as possible by going .010 or .020 or even .030 depending on how warped the engine walls may be. if you do it the cheap way to just replace the oil and compressor rings then it may smoke or burn oil constantly after you put it together. too much work to not doing it right from the begining.
