If you're using Google Chrome, see here http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=2d1205b6d1c2c8e1&hl=en (I have the same problem when using G. Chrome).

My own experience with this machine, there is a program that is in conflict with the rest of the system, you may to go into DP preferences and allow older versions to run on XP or Vista for example. Running a windows 98 program (example Frog Frenzy, "Emperor's New Groove" )on an XP results in the same problem, including silverlight and Mozilla which also crashes. Reinstalling the software that crashes does help, and make frequent saves if documentation so that you can recover the material and continue. Blessed with the Windows movie maker, otherwise all my videos would not be on you tube. The movie maker  crashes too when you are keying in too  fast and the machine ties up and that happens when the system is slow or the material is taking up too much memory, but has its own recovery and asks that the file be recovered.  I don't normally answer questions on computers unless the same problem applies to me :)
