              Paul McCartney solely wrote the song "Yesterday" and it was ironically released in the U.S.A. and not the United Kingdom. The reason? Since the song was performed by the single member of the band, the rest of the band members vetoed the release in the UK.....Credit to the song was "Lennon/McCartney" even though McCartney wrote it. Years later, Paul asked Yoko Ono if she would consent to change the credit to "McCartney/Lennon". Consent denied.
