Is it possible for an Australian to get short term cover on a new car collected in the UK?

I am collecting a new car in June to use for holiday for 7 weeks in the UK and Europe. The car will then be shipped to Australia.

I can`t see why you cannot get a cover for that period, I would check with the car dealer you are buying the vehicle from.

They should be able to arrange this cover for you and in addition I would take out cover for Australia from the date of your return.

Be a reall bummer to pick the car up and have a prang on the way home.

    What are you buying?

If it is a new Jaguar or Aston Martin I envy you, I had thoughts of buying a new Jag and doing just what you are doing.

    A Vauxall Monaro.

There are quite a few Monaros wearing the Vauxhall badge over there.

Aussies think the Holden is the only car worth owning don't they?
