Open a bank account with a bank that allows for online transactions. Then create an online account on your banks website. There you will be able to transfer funds to any place you need to.

You have choices nowadays!  If you already have a bank account and you want to add cash to your balance, you can go into your bank, or one of the branches of your bank, and deposit the cash with a living person assisting you.
If you would rather, you can deposit your funds via the Automated Teller Machine that sits outside of your bank. You can drive up to many of them, and also walk up to do your banking.
Ask one of the CSRs at your bank to show you how to use the ATM.  They are happy to assist.

put it in your mattress. The banks won't give you any interest for it, And the banks are falling apart. But, if you do put cash in the bank, you have to fill out a deposit slip with the amount of cash written on it that you want to deposit.
