According to computer repair people, it happens regularly.  I haven't done it yet but I have a laptop and so my beverages and food don't come anywhere near my computer!

    good for you

It the second time for me , this could get expensive if i'm no careful .perhaps  i should invest in a sump pump..

With the old desktop computer, I would drop liquid on the keyboard, I unplug it, take it to the bathroom or kitchen sink, run warm water through it and shake it out then blow dry it.. Wait about an hour or so and plug it back in.. No problem..  Can't do that with my laptop though.. :)

No, I have never done that. I am very careful when I am on my computer. They get dusty though . We have a special handheld vacuum to get the dust out of the  keyboard and screens.

    Daren, funny, but true.

Ann: Be careful with the vacuum .... it can cause static electricity. You might want to invest in canned air.

Flip, Thank you for the warning. I will try the canned air instead. I did not know it could cause static electricity.
