Hi i'm in the process of building my sons Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor a new tall Viviarium in our lounge and want to make it look nive and intresting for most of all the snake but also for us, as its going tobe a big feacher in our living room... Question?? wot paints and sealents are safe to use? Thanx
p.s. does anybody know if snakes drink water from a waterfall? as i want to put one in his new home xx

Ideally snake enclosures are best made of glass, the glass is easy to clean and disinfect. For a sealant make sure it is non toxic and the paint should be one that you would paint a babies cot /crib with .Keep the enclosure at the required temperature and humidity level for your particular species of snake. Use a thermometer and humidity gauge to ensure the environment is maintained.As for their drinking water, as long as there is availability to water it should not be a problem how it is supplied.
