As far as I know ants don,t "eat" dry wall.

Are you sure those are ants? I don't know, but an exterminator almost sounds like a good idea!

Then put moth balls in a shop vac vent the shop vac exhaust to out side . Suck them up and let die in canister . Drill some holes in the dry wall and drop some moth balls through the holes duct Tape holes. Being a old dry wall hanger I am taking the sheet rock off after killing and containing as many in the wall as I can before opening the wall. Some andro ant killer as well in the holes . This sucks being under attack but if you follow the contain ,kill remove plan you might win . No guarantees. If you have home owners ins it might help . Keep us updated ,be glad they arent FIRE ANTS then the only advice is torch the place and move ,these guys are mean and the rember and will get even . Bill
