Have you seen the new type headlights that have a purple tint ? Does that bother you while driving ?

I dont like them, wondering if they are legal.

Zorro. i guess you are referring to the H.i.D.  lighting system , from a distance the head lights are a bluish tint as they get closer it becomes a bright white light, far superior to the old halogen globes. They are standard on the new cars whether they are from Europe , Japan. Korea, UK. home, and the U.S. here in Oz they are illegal to have on cars not fitted when manufactured, hard to enforce when all late model cars have them, they are 'Brilliant' on the open road. the lights that blind you are either on high beam or they need adjusting, set right they are not annoying.

Had them in UK for a few years now, used correctly they are very good.

Used recklessly they are f*****g lethal and blinding?

That,s not the lights though, only the dumb a$$ drivers.

I don't know how they are when you are driving but I'm assuming they function better than the older headlights. As far as being in the oncoming car, I find them very distracting but it might just be my "old eyes". Probably not used to them as Benthere has stated although, I should ask my doctor about that. Thanks for bringing this thought to mind!

    They are irritating
