Well the main question is probably about colonizing the moon. It has an abundance of free energy . Helium 3.  At our present technology, people just cant do well physically in space right now for an extended time. Water is another problem. Scientists found more water than you could ever imagine, just not close enough in our solar system.  Then the question if life exists elsewhere. Yes, it does , has , and will continue to develop elsewhere. Because we exist.  If somebody from a religious viewpoint says no there is no life outside of earth, they are lying. This is the controversy of space.

Collision with space debris is the largest threat to space missions and is also a hazard to people because of massive space debris re-entering the Earths atmosphere.
