    what tribes have told the story of when the earth went dark and when the light came back things were different?

    I've heard that there are stories of a long time ago there were times when the world went dark for a time and when the light came back earth changes had taken place.

      I believe the Hopi are one of the tribes that have this type of legend in their history...

        I would suggest a rational answer would be most tribes have at some time experienced a total eclipse of the sun and felt different afterwards if only through superstitious fear.
