One clove of garlic 1/2 diced carrot and 2 diced stalk of celery. put 1 cup of rice and 1 table spoon of pepper and 2 table spoons of salt.  boil 20 minutes.     Chicken and rice soup

    Daisy!

I love chicken and rice! I'll try it! Thank You!!!

Daisy,  here goes my homemade soup I usually buy a bag of mixed vegetables in the frozen section, a couple of cans of diced, or whole stewed tomatoes, a whole chopped onion, a can of black-eyed peas, a can of tomato paste, either hamburger meat (the lean kind) or beef stew meat, a can of sweet corn, and any other veggies you might like.  I start out with browning the meat in a skillet and then add the chopped onions, when that is done I then put in a stock pot with some water the other ingredients and let this cook slowly stirring a lot for several hours.  I season with cracked black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and any other seasoning while it is cooking.

My recipe for homemade Mexican corn bread:

Fix up corn bread batter as you usually would I use whole buttermilk not water or milk, 1 egg, 1 TB mayo, 1 TB sour cream, 1 can of creamed sweet corn, chopped onions, chopped jalapeno peppers.

First I take my mom's old iron black skillet, pre-heat oven to 375 or 400 degrees with some oil in the bottom of the skillet while oven is pre-heating heating this up too in the process.

Then I take my cornbread mixture above pour half into the skillet and sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top  of all as much as you prefer, then I pour the rest of the batter on top and bake at 375 or 400 degrees until done.

Sure is good maybe I will get unallergic to cooking again and fix it again soon LOL.

    Daisy!

That sounds so yummy! I'll let you know how both turn out! Thank You so much!
