That would depends on one particular needs and financial situation, WBMG

Having said that, there are some really great deals in the new car market today.

Ford for instance is offering ZERO interest of up to FIVE years, on many of its models.

Use car intender's would be wise to look at some of their vehicle, as apposed to a late model USED car, that are charging high interest and general for less than a five year term.

Whenever one is looking to buy a new vehicle they should drive all of those that best suit THEIR needs then buy from the dealer that offers the lowest DRIVE HOME price on that particular vehicle

As to who makes the "Best," all manufactures are building great vehicles today, that will easily last up to 300,000, miles if properly serviced an maintained.  There is no reason to pay a premium price to drive home a particular brand because some say that brand is "better."

ALWAYS compare the TOTAL DRIVE HOME price NOT the SELLING price, since many dealers add  a lot of smoke and mirrors stuff after you have agreed on a selling price, even dealers of the same brand can vary by hundreds of dollars

My mustang is a big disappointment. Not impressed with anything other than styling. Bad on gas, lacking in quality control, performance is so so. When top is down body flexes like crazy. So much for American. Sad to say.

The best car for the money today is the Toyota Camry. My wifes has 265K miles on it. Never broke down once. It is built in the USA.

Gets 28 highway and can run 144 MPH. Not bad for an "old mans" car.

ANY car is reliable, if properly serviced and maintained. Among my collector cars I have a 1971 Pinto, that cost me $1,850 in September of 1970, that has nearly 300,000 mile on it. It still has the original drive train. ;)
