      I guess most of us call a complete building by name, an office, a house, a shop etc etc but when I'm not sure what a buildings purpose is I also refer to it as a building, for example we have a building locally that has changed hands many times, I refer to that as the building on....street

        That's a really great question!  I suppose it should be called something like lambshank has answered.  We could also simply call it a "structure".  ????
