your original question was 3*3 *8*8*7*7*7 so all3(2) 8(2) 7(3) is is a shortened way of saying it so why cant you use it ?

because this is not one of my 4 choices. I agree with what is here, but the book doesn't offer this as an option. my options are: 3(2) x 8(7); 3 x 2(6) x 7 (3); 3(2) x 2(6) x 7(3)and 3(2) x 2(8) x 7
