    Do I need to add a 1 cent stamp to a FOREVER stamp ?

    No! That is why they are called forever stamps.

    The stamp does not have unlimited value; it will always be worth what the current postage is at any given time, to mail a "regular envelope", e.g, 20 years from now (if there is a US Postal Service (lol), then the "Forever Stamp" will still be sufficient to mail this envelope.. Currently, the "Forever Stamp" is worth $.44. If what is being mailed is heavy enough that the postage goes into the next price range, you would have to add more than a cent stamp.
