    3. IF karma points come in 15 and 30, no one's karma points would end in anything but 5 or 0. Several members' points end in 1, 6, 8, 9...how did they get amounts that don't make sense with the way points are obtained?

      Because there was a period of time back when the forum was new when the admin were adjusting the karma points to different amounts to find what worked best. At one point, people got 1 karma point just for registering.  Sorry, no spooky mystery.

          When the forum was new, the admin was trying different amounts to see how to credit karma pts. Nothing to fear, my good man.
