    CAN I USE A 2 TON JACK ON A SUV

    Yes. Just make sure you block the wheels and use 2 jacks if you have two. 

    Most SUVs weigh about 2 ton,but you are not lifting the entire vehicle.As long as you are only lifting one corner it should be OK but don't attempt to lift the rear of the car or the front by centering the jack under a crossmember. This is not a contradiction to the other answers here.They make perfect sense.Take care.

    Use extreme car and whatever you do don`t let any part of your person under the vehicle.


    You are on the extreme maximum weight for jack, personaly I would not use a 2 ton jack on a SUV unless it was a small SUV.


    Check the weight of the vehicle before proceeding. This should be in Hand Book or on Rego papers.

    a 2 ton jack will raise any part of an SUV without a problem.  BUT if its just a generic bottle jack you could be living life dangerously.  If the jack isn't  shaped to fit the lifting point I wouldn't do it,  and I would  do about anything!
