Multiplying fractions is the easiest thing in the world if you know how to multiply.  The numerators are multiplied to create the new numerator.  The denominators are multiplied to created the new denominator.  Voila.    4/5 x 5/8     4 x 5 = 20    5 x 8 = 40    20/40 (reduced to 1/2).   EZ

This is by far the least confusing answer. Very straightforward.

    Thanks, Shootah!

    1/2.

Click > General Math - WebMath Go to fractions and click "multiply".

    See its very simple.

    Here, 4/5 of 5/8

    = 4/5 * 5/8

    = 1/2 [ 5 and 5 cancelled each other, 4 cancelled 8 by 2 ]

Hope this helped you to some extent.
