Post Office did not deliver to bar coded address of company WHY?

Came back to me with 6 thank you letters from a interview. I drove especially down town to get these letters delivered in one day from Saturday Morning t Monday. Instead they came back to me undelivered and lost the job. I want a refund for the stamps for non performance by USPS.
