I sold Knapp Shoes to help me get through College back in the late forties when the shoes were sold for around $10 or so.
Many of the people that bought shoes from me continued to send me orders, all the way up until Knapp went out of business in 2007, three year after being bought out by the "Iron Age Safety Shoe." company
I surely no longer needed the money, so I sent in all of the orders on to Knapp at my cost, up until the end.
I recently discover Knapp is BACK IN BUSINESS!
A grandson of one of the Knapp brother restarted the shoe company in Massachusetts as "KB Shoes."
They are advertised as the "Only shoes made in America." They now make only mens work shoes, available on line as www.kbfootwear.com Look them up!
