    2x^2 -8x +10 = 0  >  a = 2,  b = -8,  c = 10

    quadratic formula

    PLUG IN THE VALUES FOR: a, b, c

    x = -(-8) + or - square root of  (-8)^2 - 4(2)(10) over 2(2)

    x = 8 + or -  square root of 64 - 80 over  4

    x = 8 + or - square root of  -16 over  4

    Note: -16 has a square root of 4i

    Answer: x = 8 + 4i over4,  8 - 4i over 4

    I think this is right!
