      Get rid of the parenthesis or add one at the end and add a semi-colon after "out" or add a period after "out"  and start a new sentence :  "They should..."

        Documents including, but not limited to, old checks, bank records, and credit card offers from today's mail should be shredded or destroyed instead of just tossing them in the garbage.
