      It will probably be classed as joint income and taxed accordingly. Depends where you live on the planet.

        Probably.  Best to call SSI information 800 # and ask.  Won't cost to ask; and you can ask annonymously if desired.

          Yes, it probably would be affected. You would be smart to call SSI and inquire, as padovenik suggested. It is a fairly common problem for a lot of people.
